I typically pay $10-15 for working ones from Ken or Chris, I forget who I got them from. Tim's prices are fair, and they're usually better looking.

both the dash pot and throttle positioner are holding the throttle from slamming closed. Why do you need two systems for the same thing?

While certainly similar, they are not the same! The dashpot is just a damper against the a fast movement of the throttle lever towards closed, regardless of engine running conditions. The throttle positioner, on the other hand really only functions when "engine braking" is going on, and prevents the throttle from fully closing at that time to ensure enough air is still getting into the works so combustion is taking place (and thus, less unburnt hydrocarbons out the tailpipe) _________________ Andy T.

I do not know how to fix this. All I can say is it all works fine for me with what I use, Firefox. |
