Yes very rusty, I wonder if the large heavy duty power lines had anything to do with the speeding up of the rusting process as I can hear the crackling noise above while cutting it up. I found this bus about 3 1/2 years ago and finally got the guy to sell it to me. When I first found it did not look this bad, incredible how much it deteriorated by the time I got to it! Crazy! |

Chemistry + gravity on acid. Unreal how the spare tire part of the bulkhead paneling is that well preserved. |

ZUGBUG - Hey Paul whats up Bud! Yes brother waited on this one for a while and it finally came thru. Wish it was as good as yours but was not that lucky Got some goodies and have sold several pieces already. So all in all pretty good deal. Good to hear from you talk soon
Mandrakes - You are right extremely rusty for a Georgia bus, I still think it has to do with sitting under those High Tension Power Lines, man trust me you can hear the buzzing and crackling of them.
BarryL. - yes the bulkhead was clean considering the overall look of the bus.
Got lucky it really did still have some clean parts to it for the most of it.
It had the OG beauty rings in really good condition I am going to clean. They look straight and have not found a dent yet but I am scared of prying on them to remove them. Will have to take my time and be patient. I know one of the barrels is toast so I may end up cutting that one to get the ring out intact. |
