Good score. More power to you, that would be beyond me. Gives new meaning to VW busses having the aerodynamics of a chicken coop!

This weekend was very sad and funny at the same time for me.
It was the first time i let a Splittwindow go...

I make a funny deal and trade the 59 for a 53. (more of this 53 soon in the BD section of this site)

The 59 come to a good home, the new owner say he posted the work here.

I found new friends and get a new project which has enough rust for me 😉

Haa, my first car was a 57 bug with the cloth sunroof. It was used to keep rabbits in. There was even an electrical plug in the quarter panel so they could power a heater.
Good luck with your project Very Happy

This is genius! Why didn't I even think of just hanging a shop light while working inside of buses? I cant tell you how many times I have kicked over my shop light and blew out the halogen bulb!

Wow, that is crazy!

Nice work, thanks for the updates.

EDIT: After looking at this, it occurs to me, 10:17 PM on a Friday nite, there is EverettB reposing pics of rusty VW buses in Austria.
THANKS, EV!
Chicken poo is pretty hot. Too hot for heavy application on vegetable gardens, too.
I wonder, did he put in new steering worm gear?

Here's the one that took me by surprise:
Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

I saw that and ... WFT is that?
Wow, the original blank cut out to install bullets in a semaphore bus and obviously left where it fell.
don't see that very often!
With luck like that, maybe buy a lottery ticket?
