Hi all,
Just found this little oddity in a pile of dirty, greasy VW parts.
I know the "ZAR" refers to various positions on a fuel tap, but I'm not sure this is for a VW equipped with a fuel tap. Anyone out there shed any light on this baby? I sketched out some dimensions on a post it in case it helps.
A view from the backside:

Some measurements and a sketch of the side view:
Odd and kinda cool at the same time. I've never seen this one before. Tell me what it goes to...

That rubber grommet is for a Porsche 356B T-6 . The rod to the fuel tap goes thru that grommet. A = Auf Z = Zu R = Reserve |

Brad,
Thanks so much for the answer about it being a Porsche part. I had never seen it on an early VW. At least it comes from a VW "relative". I figured someone on here might have seen it before! Thanks again.
