When finished it has to go over the pit for a RWC ( road worthy certificate ) and then it will go onto a club rego for older car ( 45 days driving for $78 )
It a great deal and if u go to the right place mods aren't a issue ( with in reason)

Any updates? |
Sorry mate no welding or cutting updates been busy working on my other bus with a recent paint job
But I have been buying a few goodies for the mango
Belly pans, inner window pressing and a few other metal replacement pieces
Also picked up this rear seat, not mango correct but splitty seats are becoming hard to find in Aus
So I guess it looks like I'm going down the grumpys metal rag top install to fix my rusty/holy roof
Mango sunroof standard here we come |

Sad to say I haven't touched the mango in over 6 months, life and work getting in the way
Anyway a recent cold snap aloud me to get back in the shed
It sure was nice too get the fire in the shed going and crank the tunes and do some more cutting and welding
Nothing to exciting but thought I'd have a go at some roof repairs

Welded and ground down a lick of paint
It would seem my repair piece might need a cut and shut it seem a bit out
Confirmed on a window top
If only it went back together this easy

Not a lot of progress lately
I was finally able to get my cargo and front passenger doors of my mate over the weekend, he lives in another state to me which have shut there borders to my state during covid 19
I sent them to him to work on the hinges that were either broken, seized, bent or just foo bar
Hopefully now I can get my b pillar welded in
My mate made this jig/template to see how a b and c pillar should look
Hear it is on my straight 61
Not quite the same on the mango
Looks like I'll need push the c pillar out a bit |

Working on this door and pillar now
Needs a few tweaks but getting there
Pretty happy with the gre son 3 piece complete b pillar at this stage just seems to be a bit out down the bottom
Prob have to add a bit to the bottom to make it line up properly

Got to spend a good solid day and night working on the bus
A fair bit of time was spent getting everything lined up and opening and shuting and as good as door gaps can be got while working with a bus and doors that have been involved in a roll over at some stage in it previous life
Wishing I had a spot welder, plenty of plug welds
Removed the shit green primer |

Set up the paint booth in the shed next to the fire
Good the new sheep dog keeping a eye on things
Part way welding the b pillar in
Pushed on into the night and by 1 ish had the b pillar welded in
Still got to weld it to the bulk head and grind a lot of plug welds
Pretty happy with it just the bead line on the gerson 3 piece is little out with the other doors |
