What size filler caps were used for what years and were there any changes in design?

Progressive refinements
4/Aug/52 Now 60mm, formerly 100mm
7/Mar/53 Now 60mm, formerly 40mm (seems like an error)
11/Mar/53 Now filler opening on right hand side (what is this?)
2/Mar/54 Now galvanized (is this noticeable?)
4/Aug/55 Now 60mm, formerly 80mm (no mention of changing to 80mm

It is a bit confusing. I am looking for correct filler and cap for a Apr/54

The last two changes seem to only refer to beetles in PR.
the fuel filler opening might be referring to pickups or ambulances, although both had a fuel filler opening on the right side in 1952.

Still not sure of the filler size for 54.

Think it was 60mm. Can anyone confirm it should be a 60mm? Also would 60mm be the filler neck OD?

I think '54 takes an 80mm cap.

100mm was used through '52, then 60mm was used briefly in late '52 and early '53. Then 80mm from early '53 through end of Barndoor.

Thanks!

I thought the fillers looked larger than 60mm but hard to tell in photos.

So Progressive refinements 7/Mar/53 "Now 60mm, formerly 40mm" maybe should have been "Now 80mm, formerly 60mm"
