Guys,
I bought this bus last summer and it came with some plastic inserts I've never seen before. They live in the bolt holes for the rear apron.

Now one of them has broken and I'd like to replace it. Problem is I can't find it anywhere i've looked in the parts drawings.

Does anyone have any idea about this? It pops into the hole and surrounds the bolt.

I've only seen metal washers used for those bolts. Perhaps a generic plastic washer used by the PO to protect the paint?

edit: I see now that you said they insert into the hole, but perhaps still a hardware store item?

I'm with you. Never seen them before and you maybe right about the general HW thing.

Maybe the plastic washer that goes behind the upper seatbelt anchor?

I've also never seen anything but steel washers there. I agree with the other poster. I bet the previous owner used the plastic to protect the paint.

They almost look like a trim piece for coax cables. Hardware stores would carry that. Just a thought.

My '70 is stock, original and I have owned it since new. No plastic washers there. Original are metal.

Hey Gary, I don't come here very often anymore. Well that was a PO hack by yours truly. You know when you run a video line from room to room in your house and after you drill the hole you push a plastic insert into the hole to make it look nice. Well I thought they would work on the bus also. CCpalmer solved the puzzle, good job. So, you caught me. There will be more. PM me Gary, I'm not sure I have your new address and I want to get those carb parts to you.
