It's a Bosch 010.
There were 2 versions, one with a VW part number and one without. They are identical. _________________ Glenn

It original part used on the 59-1/2 to 60 Bastard 40hp engine in a Bus.
Prices for 010 cores range from $50 to $300. It just depends on how fast you want to sell it and how greedy you are. I've seen some 010 with high prices sit for years. Yours is missing the correct condenser bracket which will hurt its value.
It was never used on a Porsche.
I have a NOS one that I should sell because it's just sitting in a box under my workbench.

The "30" designation on these is still a bit of mystery. The date stamps I have seen on them were all mid 1960's, none for 1959/60. That would indicate parts counter replacement. The oldvolkshome website lists them for early 1950's 25 hp which is not correct. The badge is obviously the later design. The lack of a correct condenser clip should knock $25 off it's value. I don't generally pay more than $50 for one of these as a core but you see them priced a whole lot higher than that. _________________ Roads Scholar &
