Ive been looking at my folded up TMI headliner for like 2-3 years now, I started to get it up and installed a couple new bows above the front seats, and decided I couldnt do it myself. I started to get some quotes to have it done and wasn't too open to the idea of spending that much for someone else to do it. Long story short, my bus is far from stock (it came altered so I continued to alter it) so having a nice stock headliner isn't a huge deal for me. I'm curious about some creative ideas and photos of some things that are out there that may be pretty cool or funky/ non-stock

I've seen wood/ birch and liked it.

I've seen the thin P95 plastic and used it for the sides and doors

I recently saw a bus headliner lined with audio acoustic wall material and thought it was pretty cool. But that's because they were audio nuts.

Textured paint/ roll on type material

License plates/ road signs.... yadda yadda....

That's actually pretty legit! I haven't seen that style in years, I think ive seen it more on bugs in the past. A darker stain tiki to match my floors a little bit, I'd be open to this Cool

I made the one in my 66 bug out of a misprinted banner I saved from the dumpster at work. I just used the stock headliner bow rods to hold it up.

Nice, I dig the banner! I think I am going the wood route. I emailed those guys making the tiki ones but didn't hear back yet, sounds like they are backed up a bit, 90 days to make them. I found some pretty nice driftwood style curtains, I am going to try to use those and make my own, and wood bows. I'll post some pics as I build it, weather it comes out good or not Very Happy

I was impressed with this one. The guy who had the bus said it smelled really moldy and had to go. I imagine it was installed in the seventies.

Looked custom made, and a very quality install:

Nice, thanks! I'll def check there this week and see what it looks like in person. I started looking at wood and bamboo curtains more because they have less space between them like the tiki stuff does, I was worried all my sound deadener/ jute will show through it.

Looks like a lot of work! Maybe that faux suede material? I bet that bus smells like a newer car.

Whoa, the air tube gives it an aircraft interior vibe. Does this bus have AC installed?

Nope just funky ass traffic jam exhaust air spread to all the passengers. Very Happy

Previous Owner handiwork.
It used to terminate at a wall of big speakers, rear bucket seats, with a Nintendo games system between them.

It is an absolute TRAVESTY that interior couldn't be saved! I would have gone to any length possible to preserve that... Shocked

Oh, man! I agree completely!
Clara and I spent a half hour admiring this bus interior when we saw it.
