I will say it's was disheartening to hear your feedback about these fenders was brushed off when you communicated with the makers of these fenders.
I'm glad there's so many of us VW folks that find this kind of substandard quality of new and EXPENSIVE VW parts unacceptable. It's simply not ok that we have to deal with so many crap parts these days.
Maybe Gerson can get these fenders right! |
I haven't heard too many complaints about his fronts and those are much harder to make.

I snapped this shot the day I did my side by side comparison to share with the maker but never got far enough in our dialog to share it with him. It was explained to me that they where made this way on purpose so I dropped it. As I have stated there are differences from left to right but they are very minor. Stuff that you would have to measure to find. That right ther is not within spec on any planet. _________________ Chris

I spoke with him on the phone yesterday about them. I’m truly looking forward to using them moving forward.
I was stoked when he was happy to send me out a set of fronts with no grill holes and the buckets left out for me to place properly for a 40’s
My hats off to Gerson for putting so much of himself and his income directly into his company and like chris said , he listens to his clientele and responds accordingly. 👊 _________________ ⚒ Believe In The Power Of Positive Thinking ⚒

theres no doubt that both front and rear fenders flowed into the aprons beautifully, do what ya gotta do to make it right!
also, maybe Gerson has improved his front fenders but you will need to invest quite a bit of time to make them 'right' as well. _________________ drive your split. |

I have also done this with a stud gun. Works a treat as Last Triumph would say.

Fingers crossed....
I spent a fair amount of time comparing the original fenders off the '47 I'm working on to the early oval fender I used to replace the one that was too far gone. Other than the buckets being pushed back all the way to the fender, I didn't find anything else. _________________ David S |

has he fixed the lack of shape or 'flatness' on the sides of the fenders? In this picture it looks like not.
can you compare the shape around the headlight bucket? the crease looks somewhat sharp
looks like they fit the body well!
