When you take it on a 2534 mile trip to Baja and back in a week and it makes it there and back without a hitch and delivers almost 20MPG average.

When you drive it to work so you can get out of the office on break and go see how many people notice it in the parking lot.
AND/OR
You call lunch break Wrenching Time to your office mates.

When you drop it off at the mechanic for a tdi install and you cry because you won't see it for a month.
(I do work on my Vanagon but a tdi install is above me. High above me.) |
