I hate to start out a feedback with negative, but that's the case here.


Dave advertised some Weber 48IDF Carburetors and manifolds. I asked if he would take a price shipped, and he said yes.

I received them - the are 40IDF carbs, NOT 48IDFs.

Also, they were inside a box, WITH NO PACKAGING. NONE. They were just clanging around beating each other up inside. Luckily, they didn't have to go too far or I'm sure there would have been more serious damage.

What pisses me off the most (besides being lied to)?

The fact that now Dave won't return any of my emails asking about the situation. I gave him a couple options to make it right, and he won't even reply.

DO NOT BUY FROM DAVE - not only does he misrepresent the parts, he doesn't package them safely at all!!!

Well, I'm not sure if it was this post or what, but Dave did get back to me, 6 days after my email was sent.

He agreed to a partial refund, and said that the shipping was handled by a shipping place and he requested packing inside the box.

This should be an FYI for everyone - I have had nothing but bad luck with those retail box-n-ship places not packaging correctly. Either do it yourself, or if you go there, watch them do it to approve it, don't just drop it off.
