I have a 73 bug with an older baha kit which I am replacing and painting. I wish to put 15x8 torque thrust cnn 515 wheels on it. Back will be 31x10.5x15. Front I am not sure of the tall and wide size tire I can go to without total Front end work. Do not wish to have 🍩 size tires. I like the beefy look. Going with general grabber at2 tires. So if anyone can help a newbie and an old cart out I would be grateful. Thank you in advance.

Thanks for the reply, but everyone is either going to little skinny tires or lowering their bugs. Checked everything on here that I could search which is why I am asking. Have all I need except for the front. Thanks.

With an 8" wide wheel I'd recommend something in the 215/65-15 to 225/70-15 range.
Anything tire that is narrower will be too small for the 8" wide rim and any tire wider will give you a heavier steering feel at lower speeds.

Just a reminder-with an 8" wheel and larger tire you may have to adjust your Pitman arm stops, to keep the tires from making contact with the body or suspension.

You can find good used tires Cheap to run for a year or so to try out different sizes.
