El BugO in El PasO! V.W. Charity Car show and swap meet
El BugO in El PasO El Paso's annual all VW car show and swap meet. Held the first Sunday after Easter.
Car entry $10.00 (set up starts at 9am)
Swap meet space $20.00 (set up starts at 8:00am)
El BugO in El PasO is an all VW car show. The show started out with the goal of giving the VW community in southwest Texas a place to come hang out and enjoy their cars. This show is open to all VW's air or water, show or not. It is about the cars, the owners, and the culture. It is not all about the trophies. 100% of the profits go to a local charity of our choosing. This year we are focusing on children so it will be the local Child crisis center and El Paso Diabetes association with the money being designated for children. We hope to be a non profit status show this year as well so that we can donate more and grow more.
This year we will be having a limbo contest and foot powered drags (I don't know what else to call it) with teams of 2,3, or 4 pushing cars in a short slow drag race.
We are also working on other events for entrants and especially the kids.

I'm trying to organize a small cruise on Saturday before the annual BBQ and on Friday we are trying to take over the test and tune night at the local drag strip.
The cruise will meet up at 10 am at the hyatt host hotel. We will meet there and then cruise out to Mckelligon canyon and around town
OK ladies and gents. This year we will be going out to the El Paso Motorplex for their test and tune night. This is the Friday before El BugO. They have graciously offered to give all vw's discounted entry to both spectator and race entry. They will also be setting aside an area for us to all park together. Let's swarm them with vw's and have a blast racing. Fast or not it should be fun!

We would like to meet up before the drag strip and cruise in with a bunch of vw's. I am thinking of meeting up at the EPCC parking lot on gateway west by Eastlake around 5 or 5:30 and cruising out at 6:30

If you want to see an old 1970s VW Bus or Bug stop by Hoy Volkswagen El Paso off of I-10 & Airway in El Paso, TX.
They have an old Volkswagen Bus on their lot and an old Volkswagen Beetle inside their store.
