I recently bought a 06 3.6 Passat and am looking to get a intake for her, I called K&N but unfortunately they do not manufacture one for my engine. Does anyone have any ideas where I can get it or ideas what to do? I want to get better performance

also...what do you mean by "intake".....a stock intake manifold?....the air inlet trunking?....a "cold air" performance intake?

By the way...for stock, stock-ish and some aftermarket parts....ECS tuning is a great place to shop.

Here is the intake parts list for 2006 passat/3.6L v-6/front wheel drive (the B-6 chassis) at ECS tuning. Ray

Most aftermarket "Intake systems" are good for more noise, but don't always equate to more power, and some actually hurt power. They can also "confuse" the ECU and cause a MIL in the process of making more noise. Unless there are real numbers from a third party, it's mostly the marketing guys spewing BS.

There are the "performance" intakes that draw pre-heated air from the engine bay & then the others that draw air from the bottom of the bumper area that I call "cold water intakes". These are great for modifying connecting rod lengths. While I like K&N filters, they & other oiled filters are known for contaminating air mass meters.
