If you only had one Thing book, what would it be? I'm looking for a good restoration book. One that has body detail, as well as engine, and electrical. Also assume there is not enough owners to justify s magazine. |

I have had a Haynes manual for a Beetle since I got my first T-181 back in the mid seventies. It has served me well enough. I have a pile of other resources that I have accumulated over the years, but the Haynes is usually all that will get used. |

Love to see a picture of that one. _________________ "Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."

It is looking pretty sad at this point, a replacement would be in order but I don't like the junk paper Haynes is using these days, though maybe they have upgraded since I last checked. |

that book was the first thing I bought after getting my other THING. It felt like an obligation to own it once I had a VW again. What a great read, with lots of good info. Bought it used off Amazon.
Its like the 100 projects for your Porsche 911 books from Pelican Parts.
