Morning folks,

I'm looking for some help identifying my seats in a Beetle Cabriolet which a PO installed. I quite like them, they're very comfortable and don't look out of place, BUT the guy installed the 3rd rail bolted to the floor, so I'm missing the slider mechanism. I can loosen the 3rd rail bolt, move the seat then tighten up again, so I do have movement, but it's hardly elegant.

Looking for help to correctly identify the seat type (they look Mk1 Golf GTi to me) but they may be Mexican Beetle?

I'll get some more photos of the crazy mounting arrangements underneath later.

TIA

Andy

Not specifically GTI, but Mk1 sports seats.

Golf I (and II and a slew of other models) seats use the following components:

1) Rear glides inside tracks

2) Front center-mount rail and guide bracket

3) ...which require these bushings:

Part numbers for the front guide brackets:
443803241 Left
443803242 Right
171881229B Clinch bolt (1 per side)
113881275C Spring (1 per side)

You may be able to still get the brackets to weld in place.
