Any difference in front doors over the years?

From a shell (sheet metal) perspective, is there any different in front doors over the years?

Short answer is yes. Pre 86 doors are different. They don't have some provisions for power accessories. I think the air flow is different too.

I haven't completed rehanging my pre-86 doors on my 87. At first the lower plastic air vent dragged on the lower jamb but I didn't have time to reset the door fit to see if that was a real problem. Sorry.

every year model for the duration of vanagon production had at least two door variations, left and right
