Does anyone know of a source for 15" rims that look like the 71-79 bay rims?

I met a guy that had a set on his bus, but I've never been able to find them myself.

Try 99-04 Passat steel wheels.

Hard to find good 15" tires for a bus though. Depending on the ET of the wheel, you need something about 205/70/15 with a load index of about 97 or better (102 would be better).

Hi. Contact Bolton's Classic Wheels in the SoCal area of Gardena. They have been in this business for over 30 years. I'm still running widened wheels from them which were made in the '70's. A personal friend had the bay bus centers welded into a 15" outer approx. 30 years ago.
There is a thread on them here:

Hope this helps, Bill.

I bought Gowesty wheels that are 15". They are actually a 14" wheel centers welded into a set of Pontiac drop center rims. Proper offset and I cannot remember the width right now. Since the wheel center is stock, the standard chrome hubcap fits no prob. You can contact GoWesty and see if they still make or sell these. Mine are tucked up in my garage attic now.
