Clutch cable length

The clutch cable in my Thing is too long by about 5mm.

I took the cable out and it measures (end to end) 2295mm (90.4 inches)

After doing some research, it looks like Things take a standard (kinda) Beetle length cable (111721335C) which is 2281mm or 89.8 inches in length.

Is this the cable that you guys order when replacing your old cable?

Just get a shorter one that will fit your car. There can be a lot of differences depending on your front tranny mount thickness.

I'm going to order the 111721335E cable, which is 2265mm long.

Thats the one I changed to and also keep in the trunk for a spare-works well.
