How is this topic still viable, it's been determined that your last pile of shit was parted & crushed.

I'm starting to wonder if you guys are being trolled by a very skilled imposter masquerading as a thick headed kid. I don't click this thread often but every time I do it's just like the last 16 page clusterfu*k and the subject matter and advice sounds exactly the same.

Aiming for Stu's title as post whore there CTbug?

I am done with this thread. looks like a bit of attention whore disorder. time and time again, he just doesn't listen....all of us tried. I usually stop posting once I learn the budget. no time for dreamers, although I did buy my first bus when I was 11, so I thought I'd give him the benefit of the doubt.

stop feeding the strays guys and they will either move on or die on their own. 67ctbug...buy whatever...we don't care anymore...seriously. if you want to blog your bus hunting adventures use facebook. you have pretty much burnt out all of the help you were getting here.

and to the forum at large...you're welcome. once again, I have said what everyone was thinking Very Happy

My frustration is that you made it crystal clear that your budget was less than $1000. Do the math. You either buy a bus for $750 and use the remainder to get it running, or you need to up your budget.

It sounds like you are leaning to upping the budget which I think is the right choice, but you have to decide if you are fishing or cutting bait. Until you do, you are just dreaming and expecting any realistic feedback is probably not a good idea until you DO make that decision. I believe you already have the info you need, so get off the computer and get out looking at potential buses and when you get one, then let's talk.

Start asking everyone you know. if they have seen a bus anywhere.

Yeah, I'm gonna up the budget. I'm gonna start working and try to maybe get into the $3000-$4000 range. I'll start asking around about busses. I know of one bay window but it's "restored" and one splitty rusting away.

Are you sure you're done? Its seems like you want to keep complaining...you aren't obligated to click this thread so why do you care what he posts?

Pfftt.. this kids got nothing on "kawfee, Frodge or SB001".. Talk about attention whores gone bad. They are making the late bug forum intolerable.. The three of them together couldn't figure out how to put air in tires.

I'm not trying to get attention. These are my actual questions. I'm taking your advice now, I've realized that it'll just be easier to get a more expensive bus wth less rust.

Of course you are. It's ok though, it's human nature.

When you get to be old though, you buy stupid stuff to try get people to look at you, like McMansions, hair pieces, and sports cars.

Enjoy youth, save up that money , and find your Honda....errrr...van, I mean a Bus.

Why don't you take that money and finish your 67?

I've got basically all the panels for the '67 now so it's just waiting on me to weld it up... I'm sure I'll put some money into it, but not all. From the looks of the bus, the engine needs to be gone through and then it can be a driver. The bug can get metal work finished while we have a bus to go around in.

Please don't let Larry the cable guy be your inspiration...all the money will go to energy drinks, scratch tickets, and tobacco. Spending the right amount for the First bus really will pay off , drive and enjoy!
