This is my favorite thread on the samba.it is great to see a young enthusiast learn about the bay bus market, and how to save up and find the right one.looking foreward to each update during his search.happily this post will bring the thread right to the top.seasoned enthusiasts have not forgotten how old the op is, and have been careful not to sidetrack his thread.warms my heart. |

I thought it was genuine too, I just wanted to make sure since all the hate. I started doing lawns today. $20 to the bus fund! _________________ '67 Beetle L41

Very good, just don't go digging in the cat box expecting to find diamonds. Be patient & don't jump on the first crusty POS you find. _________________ Everybody born before 1975 has a story, good, bad, or indifferent, about a VW.

I won't look for junk, I've kind of got my eyes on that orange one in SC. It doesn't look too bad, but I haven't seen it so I don't know. _________________ '67 Beetle L41

What a bunch of old farts. Just remember OP, you might have pimples, but these guys have pimples, no hair and rhoids.
Good luck on your quest, prospect, prospect, prospect
My kids would clean up a seniors place for free (15-30 minute tidy) then ask her for referrals if she could think of anyone who needed work for their business.
Your Van, I mean Bus, will find you... _________________ .ssS! |

I did already on Saturday and Sunday. Schools done tomorrow then I'll be out mowing.
Abscate, I hope my bus finds me. I should go out to the place with all the farms here and see what I can see. Thanks for the luck! _________________ '67 Beetle L41

That will also depend on how he looks in pin-stripe bib overalls.
Other job idea: Auto detailing and basic maintenance (oil and filter change, fluid level checks, etc.) |

Easy read. In New England, when one wants to say FU, its FU...unlike Silicon Valley, where it is "Trust me"

put out signs/flyers for dog walking/sitting at your local library or senior citizens home/church..
old people little dogs and they all need exercise.
most peeps over 50~ish don't use media sites.. and are your target audience for short labor jobs for $. _________________

Sage indeed. Older folks work on word of mouth referral.
And, telling someone you are working to fix up an old VW will earn their respect - working to a goal. _________________ .ssS! |
