Hello Samba,
I am replacing some sheet metal on my 1970 bus. I cut off the front
lower outer panel and was hoping that you guys could help me out in
the right direction as to what sheet metal I should purchase
to correct the present rust issues. Behind the front nose,
it is hard to tell exactly what parts are there and would appreciate the help.
I currently have a replacement outer bottom nose, but once that was cut off , I noticed that there was so much more rust than I anticipated
Based on my findings it looks like this is the piece that I need, the
bottom inner nose panel, however I have seen that there might be additional sheet metal that I should purchase as well.

Are there any other pieces that I should consider when I cut out the rust and
weld this new piece in?

You will definitely need the piece you posted a link for. That is the rusted out part in front of you. As for what else you may need, check if you need the A-Pillar as well. it's pretty likely if your dogleg is toast and your inner vallance _________________ Brutis Patches Izabich: 1970 VW Transporter - 1776cc DP
