I'm slowly putting this bus back together. One of the wires has come off the ignition switch. It looks like it was originally wedged under with a bit of plastic. What is the best way to fix this. I tried solder but my soldering skills are as bad as my welding skills. I'd buy a replacement but they are very expensive for a 1970.

that sure doesn't look like an ignition switch to me. looks like a turn signal switch.

i'd say try to solder it again. to make a good solder connection, it needs to be VERY CLEAN, which yours is not.
