Beware of the EMPI seats. We have a set and the top layer of the Naugahyde is peeling off after only a couple of years with no hard use. Also, they are very heavy compaired to PRP seats. Tom

They're snug for my son, but not a deal killer. He's 6'1" and goes 270.

I love 'em.

Thanks for that info. These might work. I have a set of seat frames that I bought when I bought my Berrien frame. Do these come with sliders or did you purchase these separately? What I could tell from the pictures, it looks like these are right very low in the body. Close to the floor. Also, I have shoulder harness/lap belts. Do you think they will work with them?

Not nearly as inexpensive but IMO worth the bucks if you drive a lot.

Stats installed. I really like them. I would recommend to anyone. They also offer a pleather/fabric option as well as studded like Joe has his eye on.

You've almost sold on them!
Did you mount the included tracks directly to the floor like you were planning?
Still like them?

I love 'em.
I did mount them directly to the floor, but I'm thinking about cutting wooden "wedges" for each track that would raise the fronts of the seats an inch or two. Since they're a fixed seat you can't lean them back. Although they're comfortable I think they'd be more so if they were tipped back a little.

Thank you for the reply! Cool
Good tip on the "wedges"!
Are the tracks on your new seats spaced apart approximately the same width as stock Bug tracks?
Here is my pan that I've just shortened . . . you can see where I removed the stock tracks . . . the shiny dots are where the tracks were spot-welded . . . about 16" apart . . . is that the location where your seats tracks are mounted?

I used 2x2 square tube stock as “wedges” for the front of my seats. Raised the front of the seats and when bolted to the pan added some rigidity.

I need some new seats for my Phoenix van as well.

The sliders are bolted down and it's not comfortable. Since my husband and I want to alternate while driving unscrewing is just totally inconvenient.

I really like the seats you picked out and seem like they have great support do you have a link?

would anyone happen to have the measurement for the very bottom of the seat across the back of seat??.(at the floor).and are they up against the outside of the body.i am losing an inch width due to my 3 inch lift.i would still like to mount them on the floor without raising them 3 inches up to clear the body lift on the side.thanks
