I am restoring a 74 super beetle which is fender and chrome off painted a real cool black cherry. It is mostly stock with a 3" dropped front and some chrome on the engine, and of course 8 spoke wheels. I have this hair brain idea to put a one piece door glass kit in the doors. I would like to know what you folks think of this idea before I start this. Thanks, Daryl B.

I've read a number of posts where owners were having issues with their one-piece set-ups. The look may not be worth the problems which arise from these aftermarket kits.

I would not give up my wing windows. That is my AC in the summer and my defroster in the winter.

To each his or her own. I have them in my 72 super and I like the look and do not experience any of the troubles some others have reported here. Which ever way you go, good luck and enjoy Cool

I had them on one of my 72s and liked the way they looked. Installation wasn't very difficult but make sure you take your time and buy a decent kit. That being said, I am not running them on my 74 because the vent wing is a very nice feature for the reasons mentioned above.

I have them on my 71' super....

I like/liked the look, but after 5 years they look like crap, and I misplaced my wing windows and now I have to buy a new kit...

All I can say is make sure if you do go with the single window get a kit better then the ones they make, or at least the ones I have seen!

Wow, lots of negative feedback...guess I got extremely lucky, no leaks, rattles, etc.
Again to each......

I liked the "look" of 1 piece windows, so I put a set in my car years ago. Thankfully I was smart enough to box up and save the windwings... I put 'em back in within 6 months.

I would like to thank those that replied to my post. I gave up, there is just too much cutting and drilling on a car with new paint. I liked the looks of the tinted glass--so I took all my glass and had it lightly tinted like the new cars, it is going to look great with my black cherry paint. Daryl B.

I bought a beauty of a 1960, cal-car, which has the single windows, and they look and work well. My issue is, I need to replace the wiper seals (in and out) on the windows, and I can not find a vendor. Anyone have a suggestion?

I put them in my 69. They work great with no problems.

Nice car, I did try J bugs, but I didn’t see one for the full window. Just looking for the bottom seals because it’s time
