Anyone know how much the dealers charged for radios? Sapphire I, Sapphire II, Sapphire III and Sapphire V.
A Sapphire V in the original box with all the parts for installation sold for $500 on eBay.

I bought my 1970 in 1972. The dealer sticker states $79.95 for the Sapphire AM radio, think that must've included installation.

I am sure it varied by year and model but you could start looking through the "price list" entries in the Gallery

The first one I saw from 1961 was $65/$70, including installation

$100 in 1965 for that am/fm is $775 in todays (2017) value. Lots of money for a radio.

Yes, I should have mention that they were expensive at the time!

I have seen another member (Eric & Barb I believe) on here mention that it was the equivalent of an additional car payment... and this was when auto loans were only 24 months.
