On my 1996 VW Jetta, the passenger side door handle is lockable, but the 1999 VR6 Jetta, MK3 I have, it doesn't have the passenger side locking handle, and so I don't know if it originally came that way, or if it is possible to convert it to a locking handle? |

yup... if it lacks that.. then adding a key slot will be more work as you would require it... no key slot means the handle should come off easy to look.. but did vw redesign the powerlock switch piece on that side to eleminate the key slot.. _________________ Click to view image |

98-99 Mk3s have a different latch, so no, not without changing both the handle and the latch. |
