Excellent experience. I needed a '67 door latch for my Ghia, and I saw Ben was selling a pretty complete door. He was willing to pull it off the door, send me some photos, and sold it to me separately. He responded to emails quickly and mailed the latch within an hour of my payment. The part works excellently, and my door no longer has the small amount of play that bugged me. Highly recommend.  |

Well I guess you guys were lucky. I sent money for backing plates. Turns out he didn't have any.
We exchanged emails in which he made excuse after excuse. I choose to believe him. Big mistake. I got ripped off.
Don't let the 45 days go by before opening a dispute with PayPal. |

I am also unhappy with this guy Benjamin Padillo.
I ordered a locking gas cap on July 2. On July 12 I asked where it was and he said, "all boxed up, shipping on Monday" (7/15).
As of today 7/20/13 I have not received it. I opened a case with Paypal and demanded a full refund. If you sell something you should make an effort to ship with the next few business days. I always do. I like to think that Samba members are special people, but there's always someone in every group of people that has to operate unprofessionally.

I received it, but it does not fit an '82 Vanagon. This is for a Jetta and it is threaded. Please refund me and add shipping. When I receive the refund I will close the Paypal case.

I just had a great experience with Benjamin Padillo! I needed late '70's convertible only parts and Benjamin was great to deal with and did a great job cutting out the parts I needed and did great shipping them to me! I highly recommend doing business with him.
