The nosecone goes on the trans with 7mm studs, which might fit the purpose.
More difficult to find the 7mm tap set, IMO

1/4 is too small

Step studs sold here, but alas, the 7 to 6 is a rare item (good idea tho)

Does Ace Hardware have 7 mm bolts in the little drawers? Then just get a bolt and nut, cut off the bolt head, unscrew the nut, and then use that as the stud with that 7mm nut.

Drill the hole in the manifold a tad larger if need be.

Late model throw-out bearing guide sleeve studs/nuts are also M7, so if anybody can find those, you'll be set. 9mm wrench size too, which may work even easier than stock for access.

I am going with the 8x6mm step stud...i wanted tbe 7x 6mm but in life u dont always get what u want right
