Where do you fill the fluid? I see there is a neck close to the bottle but how do you access it? ...asking for a friend 😉[/i]

Lift up the carpet in the upper left hand corner of the drivers foot well area.

I find a long funnel useful for that --

Yep — your left foot is probably on top of the filler cap a lot of the time. Under the carpet Smile There's a black stud in the driver wheel well near the door that holds that carpet up. Pull the carpet off of the stud, and lift the carpet. Bob's your mother's brother.

Long funnel is advisable. Also, I like to take a rag or a couple pieces of paper towel, and make a donut around the opening to catch any overflow. I have a habit of overfilling the tank, and then needing to lift up my floor insulation to wipe it out. Because I'm a dufus. The paper towel donut trick mitigates that requirement usually.

You might tell your friend that in addition to 'under your left foot' there is another place... for the back washer. Its that black bump in the wall behind your back seat. Slide that off, there's the tank!

FWIW, the tank holds about 2 liters -or- slightly more than 1/2 gallon. Stop
pouring at about 1/2 gallon & no overflow, drips, rags, towels, rust, etc...

Cool

I guess my tank has a crack in it. I put a significant amount of fluid in it, then heard it leaking onto the garage floor. I figured zee Germans designed it so that it couldn't overflow into the interior Very Happy

The grommet between the top of the tank and the filler often leaks.
In that case, stop filling when your shoes start getting wet... Wink

The washer tank fill is not for the queasy folks who don't like drips, spills, or oozing. Dhavvers is right, the grommet goes on every tank I've heard of. And, to boot, it goes almost immediately after replacement as well. So, go with his advice, stop filling, short of the drip. Yes, you CAN R&R it, but just wait the few weeks and there it goes oozing, dripping and otherwise spreading a blue puddle on your floor.

The worse, by far, is the rear tank and pump. Those are sneaky MoFo'z that end up putting a hole in the well below the rear tank, 'cuz they leak and you never knew it. Squirt squirt, rust a little, rust a little more... HOLE! whamo! Now that is a hole that is hard to repair.

Better than the EV I had tho.. the line for the rear ran all the way from the front tank to the rear nozzle. It blew about half way through the cabin, on the passenger side, and the dorks even added insult to injury as it was engineered to run along the TOP of the compartment. Blue trickle down the inside of the Westy, soaking the bed. That is murder worthy, right there, I'd have to say. Who the F thought that up!

Just a question on filling these

I have a Caravelle C with the rubber mats
These dont "lift" that well and I am getting a tear in the rubber

Stupid question, but I dont like the tears forming, but does anyone else have issues with the rubber mats?
