I saw your bus at Dub Splash yesterday, but you must have been cruising around. The bus looks great! It was a good show and a pretty unique location.

Hey, been following along since the beginning (and your other one!).
Just wondering how much clearance you have from the tops of the tyres to the guards when running that low? I think you said you were running a 215/60 on the rear, does it rub at all? Doesn't look like too much at the front either, but it looks bloody good!

Hi Daniel. Thanks. There’s really not a whole lot of clearance. I’m about as low as I can go without cutting or installing tubs which I won’t do. The rear is perfect without any rubbing mainly because I am running 4 Lug rear drums with an inch thick adapter to 5 Lug which puts the tires exactly in the clear zone. It’s pretty tight between the rear tires and the spring plate housing.

Hey Danny, you will pretty much need to paint the roof the lower color first then paint the white over it if you want to do it the way the factory did it, then sand or buff back through it down to the darker color. These busses were originally painted one color (bottom color) completely, then the bus was masked off and painted white over top of the darker color which gives that beautiful wear down fade.

Usually whenever I take this thing out I just park it and go but someone convinced me to enter it in the show. It was pretty funny actually. The judges came by and were looking at it, I overheard one tell the other “the glass and rubber looks good but this paint just kills the whole bus”

Definitely. How far are you from there? I met some guys one had a sea blue / white OG paint 21 window lowered on alloys. He had some parts at home I was interested but forgot to get his info. He said he was from near St Louis.
