First I tacked in my section then bolted the column in to make sure it would be straight before fully welding it in. My fear was the column being cocked over to the side a little bit.

Damn that wheel would be up there a bit

Before I weld in the floor, there's a couple places that need attention. One is the shifter base. So I cut it out and traced it on a scrap piece of thicker gauge Metal.

Had to fix a rusty area on the passenger side inner nose kick panel before I can put the cab floor in. I used a grinder and uni bit and drilled through the rust holes to gauge how thick the metal was where there was rust holes, this way I could tell how much bigger area I need to cut out.

I still have to contour the edge to tuck to the nose prior to welding. Seemed to fit nice and tight so that a plus. In the morning I'll have it all welded in. It's going on 3 am here.

Floor is officially in. I'll knock down some plug welds then I can mount my safaris since there won't be any sparks flying around up here.

So I began cleaning up my windshield channels and so far I only found one small pin hole that I welded shut. This week I plan on using ospho to neutralize any rust then I'll paint the areas as well as the safari window frames the correct Blau Weis.

Other side wasn't so bad.

Been meaning to get the safaris mounted so this week I plan to ospho prep and paint my windshield channels and frames. For now thanks to help from Ryan (55bundt) for stopping by to help me install the safaris and front beam.

Ryan welding in the safari slider brackets. Was good to finally have some help. It's not easy doing everything all alone. Some stuff definitely takes two people.
