Was wondering if anyone remembers the name of these VDO gauge style gauges from the 80's. I'm still looking for a fuel gauge if anyone has a lead. Part number on this one is 332 305

Well I have since found this type of gauge on a ebay auction from Australia, the description reads....
The Night Design series of gauges was VDO's first type of gauge with dial backlighting and an illuminated pointer from the early to late 1980's |

If one has one of these:
Then one of these would complement it nicely:
From time to time, I find various VDO Cockpit "Nightdesign" instruments on German E-bay, of which these are a few I found recently, together with an advertising poster:
I presently possess a new-old-stock 52 mm diameter, electronic VDO Cockpit Night Design 0~6000 rpm engine-tachometer for diesel engines, designed for connection to the W-terminal of an alternator.
Sometime in the future, I hope to replace it with a similar instrument of the conventional VDO cockpit style to match my other VDO Cockpit instruments.
