Today finally after a long time I made the bases to the gearbox, use springs of toyota crossbows (I do not know if the translation is fine as well). Use a tube which you cut to give you the measure:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

The base of the tail uses a 4mm sheet, it is the same thickness as the original:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

And attached to the chassis use a 6mm:

Back I copied Smileyman3000 with the bases, from the beginning I liked that idea and applied it, so:

It remains only to mount motor to see how it is going, but it did not have the screws, so it will be for another day.

Well, let's continue. Mount the engine and I was looking at where to put the water radiator:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

But I did not like it at all, so I decided to put it forward:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

It's from a Focus, it should be enough for the engine I'm riding.

I also did what will be the protector of the motor, it is necessary to make the detachable parts to be able to remove it, but something like this will remain:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Then I went to the front train, my friend made me the hubs of the front train, they are made of a material called 12L14, it is high in lead, they recommended that for being much cheaper than the bronze, since here the original hubs are not available

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

I did more for my friend and for my buggy too.

After installing the bushings, install the front axle:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

My friend spiked the front drums and did the other centering forwards:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

I put them as a moso to be able to adapt brake discs afterwards, it's something I already did in some buggies of several clients.

Here was where the thing was half complicated: going from 4 to 5 holes one of them was in the middle, I had to weld, to do so the piece was steel and the wick did not happen, we played a trick (thanks to San Google) heat the piece red hot and put it in lime powder:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

And well, I could finish that:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

And so it goes until now:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

It will be the other week that I do something, this week I had a lot of free time for lack of spare parts (this routine starts to be done here).

And in the end, a super 3D sketch in Photoshop of how I want to paint it, I did a purple pearl test in the buggy and I fell in love with how it looks:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

It changes as the angle of view of the car moves. So I already have a name for him:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

The Chameleon. (At last).

These last week I did several things to him, only that he wanted to publish them all together.

I had to move the steering box because it was not aligned with the wheels:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

I made the front bumper with the pen (so we say here):

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

I need to make the bases of all the lights, I hope to do them soon.

Pass the cooling water tubes from the front to the front:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

The radiator is from a Ford Focus 2000cc, change it to a friend in exchange for repairing the gearbox of your buggy.

I made the tank, grab around 80 liters (it would be about 21 gallons according to san google):

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

It has this trap below that is where the gas pump always submerged, I need to make the connections above, reinforce the body, make the bases and of course weld it.

I'm trying to see if I can install these seats, they are the same as I have in my buggy:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

I made the stirrups to be able to mount, only the inside stuffing is missing:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

And adapt the steering wheel of a Toyota Corolla:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Of course I will change the steering wheel, the rest is for the controls, suichera and others.

I'm putting everything on the site first to last solder everything, first for now I do not have many electrodes (and they are so expensive something so basic) and because if I have to do something, I do not have to cut so much.

If I'm honest I'm not convinced of the colors, but hey, the papers say those colors but I can change them in the future ($$$) and possibly have to make changes to the papers for something I want to change. (This is in see).

Well, I spend some time since I did something to the car, it is difficult given the situation of the country, every day is a new price and so, but here we go. Apart from this, "cuadritoos" (my Buggy) was sick:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

There was a bricklayer inside the engine Laughing

Things that when I put it together I do not fit because of problems with the grinding machine and so on.

There were several changes since the last time I wrote, first the engine:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

I got one from Corolla 1.8 (one 7afe, the one from cuadritos is 4afe) so I have relatively the same engines in both cars.

Of course I had to redo the adapter:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

A part of this in the long run would be better for me, I know it is a smaller engine than the one I had but so do not damage the gearbox knowing me.

For those who do not know, this is cuadritoos:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

And here the other change. I am currently repairing a buggy with an engine equal to the one I had (cavalier) and it is green (people confuse it with mine as if they were so equal) and all the remaining paint I have been using to decide on the color:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

So it will be equal to cuadritoos or different, so I painted it on the other side of another color that I had wanted to use for a long time and so it is:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

And sincerely I liked more so the green, (I agreed with dustymojave that I did not like the previous color) until I made a small survey about that and most (14) preferred the purple to green (3), that at the end is my decision how to paint it but I like it more.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Now and for the last time (please and thank you) will be violet and black, aka "Dino" for The Flintstones.

I hope already in the next few weeks to continue doing things like this little by little and start the engine, since this is all complete and I have everything to turn it on.

This week after taking a walk:

I made the protector for the motor:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Now I have to correct the engine adapter because the engine is a bit on the side, I could leave it like this but the mania that everything is perfect is another thing.

And since we are in the country to change things, well, change the Cavalier engine for all this:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

So I do not need almost anything to have also air conditioning, additional I got the alternator (which then uploaded the photos) and other things that I forgot to take photos.

Well, for work reasons and others I had to take my car to my house, and that was the ride:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Well, this is the alternator that I had commented:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

And this is a gift, it's from a Defender:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Totally aluminum, which here is like a luxury.

I've been repairing a buggy which I put a front Kombi train and well, I fell in love and got one:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

It's dirty, but all the components are perfect (except for 2 stubs that I have to buy) but it came out better, it has its rolineras, the brake discs, the amotiguadores, something that the other one did not have and the most important thing: to be I should be able to handle much more, which is what I want since I want to travel far with that car. Of course I have to do a job (later I'll teach) so it's not so rigid.

And after a long time I was finally able to buy 2 new rubbers in my life:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

They are 31.5 * 10.5R15, I did not want to put a bigger one for 1: price, 2: then the car does not walk and 3: I did not get 32, the closest was 35.

And the last thanks to my girlfriend, the steering wheel with its adapter and others:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Which I love more than the account now with this hahaha.

I also took advantage and made the papers for the change of engine and color.

I hope and the week of 24 can finally do much, and grab "vacation", and buy cutting disks, to clean, I have electrodes and argon for mig, although there is always something missing I hope to advance a lot these days, I will continue reporting.

New year, new goals.
I hope this year to finally finish what I started, have been days of annoyance and others to want to finish it, I sincerely like how it is, it looks like what you do in the USA, the opposite of what most do here that are all ugly.

For starters, I had to disarm everything I did in the back, things to do it stuck to a wall and not see from afar, it was all crooked:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Take advantage and I made the new holes to the motor adapter, now if it is not on the side, it is right:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

And then take out and start welding:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

I made the base of the engine so easy, as I had done in another buggy and it worked, why not make it the same without complications ?:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Also take advantage and disarm the engine from below, I made it clean, check that everything was fine and I grab the paint to make it more beautiful:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

I returned to melt aluminum:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

What I did was disarm where the steering wheel goes and make the adapter directly, then to the winch:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Use part of the old adapter, just that I made new threads:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

All aluminum is recycled to remelter:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

While here the sunsets are like this:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

And so I am:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

I thought of a cheap way to lock the whole engine so they can not touch it and it occurred to me to disassemble an air filter from a truck:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

And so it is staying:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

I also made the gas tank:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

I had to make the cut for the body of acceleration, I insist is the most annoying that I could weld Neutral

And I made a threaded base to put the gas pump, and the floating for the gasoline clock, apart from the filling and the vent:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

And I took it out for a spin and that's how beautiful it is:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Only that by not seeing the sides there is a tube that is higher than the other:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

So I have to correct.

I deign to ride big rubber forward because it looks more beautiful and good, since it is fine I prefer to spend that one.

I am doing the adaptation of the wheels with the apples of the front train and for that reason I have not been able to mount the front train, when I do that I will publish more.

I wanted to cover the holes in the wheels to make new ones and keep the original apple, so I melted aluminum:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

And I emptied him in each hole:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

After that tournament:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

It did not help, so centering for the Kombi front train was made:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

I lost time in that for the fact of riding the front of Kombi, the next will be an iron adapter, not to give birth.

So I left the front train mounted, they lent me 2 wheels and with that I got the height:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Take advantage of and modify the address box, which I learned with a buggy that assembled in December, the box can not be straight, the pins have to be tilted if it does not work.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

And so, even the radiator fits perfectly:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

I need to finish welding and ready around.

I got the hood, I hope I do not screw it again, I'll leave something original there, I want to install the bib ... Since it's that high I do not think it will hit and it will still have its protector.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

And so it goes:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

I hope soon that latoneen and so.

And after so much giving birth and fighting, this:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

[img]https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-N0sAx9ERab8/Xbzk1lGVaLI/AAAAAAAAK4k/xzCONGyvpzMf20J03eIfiUt7gxfNFPYHwCPcBGAYYCw/s640/IMG_20191031_090426809.jpg
[/img]

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

There one of the reasons, rot, rust, wasted spending a lot of money, not counting the shit that had already been done ... And as I always told everyone, I did not feel excited or encouraged to finish that.

And no, I do not like to leave the things I do halfway, but sometimes the reality is better, with what I had to spend I still bought a rolling car, not counting that with all that so rusty it is not worth it. It's not that I don't like the idea, but I also didn't want to do something that wouldn't fit as I wanted.

So it looks like this:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

So all the mechanics and everything I had is going to stop the buggy. And yes, this year I finish it yes or yes.

Talk about roughing it...I'm sure you hate the state of the country but being able to get around some of that must be quite gratifying. Keep up the great work!
