(as of this writing, their website is under reconstruction)
http://realgaskets.com/

Makers of the silicone (red) valve cover gaskets for classic VW's, these gems are practically indestructible and the only thing that ends their useful life is nicks from misguided installation when clamping down the valve cover. But even that is preventable because the red color of the gasket is easy to view all around the cover to verify it's in position correctly after the cover is in place and before torquing down. It takes alot of carelessness to damage these gaskets ! I've been using silicone valve cover gaskets for decades now...clean on, clean off, no cork gasket residue to clean off (OEM gasket) an no hardening from heat cycles like the neoprene gaskets (Empi, etc).

I phoned Real Gaskets because the one from the pair of new design fiberglass-reinforced silicone gaskets exhibited a concern and I received kind and caring attention over the phone with the offer to replace them free of charge, shipping and all. That's pretty nice to find that kind of care and concern in this day and age, but they do stand behind their products 150 percent and I"m here to tell you about it !

If you decide to try these babies, you won't be disappointed
