Want my 79 Kombi Riviera 2.0 injected rebuilt. I'm in southern Ca. so from what I've read it's a no brainer...Adrian at HeadFlowMasters for the block.
I have also read Hamm/Hoffman Auto Machine has heads incomparable.
Complete rebuild as close to stock as possible with durability in mind.
Question is; those of you with experience with both or either: Hamm or Adrians headwork who reigns in quality, stability, longevity.
Pros and cons are appreciated ThankYou

headflowmaster's feedback thread: https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=516448

not sure if this is the same HAM you are referring to (not that it matters based on the number of replies)

you might also try searching the feedback forum.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I believe Len at HAM only uses new AMC heads, strips the assembled components, 'cleans the heads up', and then retrofits with quality new components. It's the Blueprint Special for us. My understanding is that 1.8's may (or may not) be available upon special order. See here.

you want Len's heads. (Hoffman automotive machine). I personally would not have Headflow masters build me a block. My understanding is that the work can be spotty - my own attempts to contact Adrian have been that way as well. see http://itinerant-air-cooled.com/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=12989

There are several folks down there who can assist you in getting that engine rebuilt, Robbie being one. (Asiab3)

Just spent some time reading the Itinerant forum threads and I'm just floored. Feel as though I just dodged a bullet; thanks for the heads up! Seriously I'm grateful; however, sorry others had to suffer the inconvenience.
