Love the big flakes Very Happy
Have you ever had trouble with the sun reflecting back at you from all that bling?
I had to paint the steering wheel and headlight buckets on my rail. Nearly got snow blindness a few times from driving certain directions at certain times of the day. Shocked

Well....it has never been shiney before.

So I don't really know how bright paint will effect me.

I can say that the chromey filter tin tops on the 44's would flash me in the eyes from time to time. But the filters are lunymum, tilted Out, and have socks over them this time.

I actually do not have much chrome this time either....
But a lot of polished stainless steel instead.

I am not even trying to polish aluminum parts this time.
Just too much upkeep involved. The bare aluminum is scotch bright only.

The only thing I can think of that is chrome is the dune buggy axle tubes. O and the master cylinder.

Going for more of a chopper look instead of cruiser look.
Hard to pack all these car parts in and make it look and be the size of a motorcycle.
I guess you can tell it.......I like a converted motorcycle style much more than a converted car style.

I have enough problems hiding all my EFI and go fast stuff on my buggy.......I can't imagine trying to stuff all that under a tank and seat....... Rolling Eyes Wink

It is all stuffed in there.
The fuel regulator and the idle air valve wound up out on the intakes.
Initially wanted them hidden, but ran out of room.

R2C filters in an ellipse shape, WOW
That's filtration excellence.

The r2c filters are not all squeezed out of shape as the paper was.
That was an older pic from before it started going together.

The r2c are the big ida filters and fit my FI much better.

I did not want the gauze this time but got scared of wetting the paper.
Saved up and got the r2c and socks.

I ran the r2c for a few years then the side of the filter broke off from vibration. The HEX mesh does not stand vibration, oops. The oval filter shape is kinda stupid anyway, having flat sides, and the filters themselves may have been a bit small, plugged up several times and need cleaning.
Bigger filter, ellipse shape, totally better.

Then sprayed a couple test panels and went well.
The front fender is all that is cured all the way out and ready. So it got prepped and painted with the red candy and the high solids clear.

A single point centremount throttle body would be ideal on one of those trike things

Wouldn't have the same visual impact. I think there is a large "LOOKING COOL" factor involved here. Cool

And there's nothing wrong with that! Very Happy

Well yes if you like the looks but it'd get old real quick working your legs in and out between the stacks not to mention the chance of damaging stuff hanging out there like fuel lines, wires and linkage etc

Well I would agree...IF....it was a stock to mild engine.

But a single center mount would not work to well with a 2387 big head big cam engine.

Now as far as the fuel injection.....that is not necessary......carbs do work.

Then there is definitely the cool factor involved.
I did compromise and do some things based on looks alone.

But still it is not that hard to get on. Would not hurt to be 10 yrs younger, any more younger and I would still be on 2 wheels.
