The trans don't have so many custom parts in it. Off the shelf stuff. Everything other than the chrome tubes and the 3.44 gear I already had in my junk pile.

Late swing with the wide syncros.
Normal 1 and 2
1.26 third
.82 fourth.
Welded hubs
3.44 ring and pinion, splined but type.
Hd side covers
Narrowed axles.
Cut down chrome axle tubes
Disc brakes
Oil mods to run upside down.

The only other oddity it the drive extension.

Go ahead and get some huge chrome deep deep Cragar S/S mags for the back of the thing..!

Sure they won't work as well as the negative offset ones you have,
But,
With a springer font end,
You kind of have a certain commitment now.

Some big big rubber will help gear it up, too.
I get the feeling it will pull it..

I re-geared the trans to fit already.
Big tires are just such a power suck....

Certainly look cool though...

I am ok with the amount of tire on it.
I never did wear out the old ones, over 10yrs old. They finally got so dryed out they would not hook anymore.....just scratch.

After some discussion and research I went ahead with a split header and anti reversion cans.
I just don't have a place for a 4 into 1 merge. Maybe a tri Y, but it would be long and not very even.
So here I am paired with 1 and 3 around the flywheel end. Then 2 and 4 around the pulley end.
1-5/8 out of the head and into the can as the ID matches the port.
Then out of the can at 1-3/4 to the steep tri Y style 2 to 1 collector.
Then a 2 inch short out of collector into a 2-1/2 elbow with a 2 inch outlet cone as a anti reversion can on the outlet.

Now you can hide a turbo in there!

I did seriously consider a small turbo on top of each head.
But I have enough heat management issues to deal with normally aspirated.

Working on gas tank bottom pick up and return.

if you put the pickup at the lowest point it should suck up all the crap&water so it dosen't clog the tank&rust it out just messen with ya. keep up the good work. you going to make it 2 stage/levels for a reserve? it can have it's addvantages but the reserve needs to be used often so it dosent funk up....keep it up, your gonna have fun when it's done.

This should leave a little bit in the tank.
The other tank I made before really was in the very lowest point.

No reserve.
I am gonna have a sight tube on the side of the tank.

I just saw the turbo comment and the heat management responce....hell use a turbo for cooling!!!! and one for power!!! arnt we back seat engineers nice to have on hand to solve all these issues...... :2gunfire: crap are those real bullets!!!your good keep going, just don't shoot me.

Not much going on.
Still having health issues.
A small bit of work on it this morn.

Made up the tunnel snd did somr welding. Gas tank bottom nearly done.

Welded some more on that gas tank.

Finished up some wiring.

Finished the oil primer.

The gas tank sealer came in on Saturday.
But like usual I was at work all weekend.

wtf??? you tank is already rusted!!!! getter done!!! hope the storms are bypassing you. dam thing sent a tornado over us.....and lotsa rain, ,my orange trees are exploding oranges , I pick them go out 1 min lator and get some more exploding ones so i can juice them befor any bugs get them....humming birds like them to so I give them one on the table to suck on.
