Hi, I just registered to the site. I am not only new to the site but new to owning a VW Beetle. I recently purchased a 73 super Beetle convertible that is going to need a lot of work. It did come with new top, fenders, and extra hood and trunk deck lids. Only thing that appears to be missing is the back seat. I usually always have some type of project going on in the garage and I think this will keep me busy for a couple of years. It seems like there is a lot of knowledge on the site and I'm looking forward to using it as build the bug exactly how I want it. Thanks in advance for all my questions.

Tommy, welcome to the Samba.
You have found yourself a project indeed! Though it isn't near as bad as some of the piles crazies here pull out of the earth.
Just think, you'll learn a lot, create an admiration for yourself and your diligence, and have the joys of cruising with the top down.
Best thing is to just start somewhere, I don't think it matters much. Change fuel lines before go about trying to fire that bug up. _________________ The Bus Barn Ltd. Co.

Hi and WELCOME. Your car appears to be a '71 or '72 super with the flat windshield.
Good luck, Bill. |
