Currently I have a Porsche 356 zenith 32 NDIX center-mounted but I have replaced jets and soaked it in carb cleaner multiple times over the years and im ready to get a more reliable setup.

A friend suggested that I should use the center mount 44 HPMX EMPI CARB for my setup.

I wanted to get more opinions and wanted to know what would be a well rounded carburetor for me?

I doubt you need a 44 idf/hpmx.. 40 would probably be closer set up out of the box...

Whatever you end up with, clean the carb well, check and set the float and get a good airfiter! I suggest an R2C filter and a sturdy filter base like the billet ones as opposed to stamped steel.

Duals would be easier, and give you more power.
