Hey hello there,
I am making a 4400km trip with my oval in less then two days.
But i get a really soar foot from the stance of keeping the rollerwheel down when i drive a long distance.
sadly i dont have the time anymore to buy a cruiserpedal and wait for delivery.
its a pretty straight forward road its the E4 in sweden, not alot of traffic and mostly driving at night.
is there a way i can "stick" my roller without having to push it the whole time?
not a brick ofcourse then it would be full throttle the whole time..
someone have a idea maybe?
can i add a wire or something maybe?
without causing any damage to the car ofcourse its almost concourse. |

Could you get away with just placing a piece of wooden board on the carpet (throw a towel or rag down first) and against the roller to set up a makeshift pedal for the drive? Shouldn't move back with the pressure from your foot. _________________ 55 build: https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=680057 |

I had no problem with the rollerpedal on long journeys, think its better than a normal pedal. I have 2 old cruiser pedals, but they will never be used.
If you have problems, it can be too strong return spring.
Is it original engine? _________________ I got a historic car, every scratch got a history...

It's not the spring, it's the angle it puts your foot at. I have the same problem...just depends how tall you are
50 miles and my ankle is cramped...unfortunately I do not have a solution |

As I was driving my 57 around the other, I remembered this thread. So I paid attention to how I operated my pedal. Seems I'm most comfortable at full throttle if I use my "ankle motion" for the 1st half of the pedal travel, and then when I put the "pedal to the metal" I slide my whole foot laterally forward.
That way my foot is at the half throttle bend, just moved forward.
In my mind this sounds crystal clear, with obvious images popping up in my head. This may not be the actual case though.
But yeah, jamming anything in there sounds ridiculous. _________________ sent from a phone using poor grammar and spelling |

The first picture looks promising!
I would also state, that while flooring a stock 36hp engine is pretty standard, not possible with a modified engine |
