Hey there,

I equipped my 1968 Beetle 1500 (Automatic) with a cigarette lighter that's linked to the car's battery (12V 47Ah 390A). I want to get myself a 12V-or-less portable speaker to plug in there but I'm wondering : will it cause any trouble or important discharge to the battery (or to the fuse) if I keep the speaker constantly plugged into the cigarette lighter (it'd be more convenient not to have to unplugged/replug it all the time).

Thanks in advance for your help and advice Smile

Real simple- does that speaker have a "Standby" mode? If so- it will drain and possibly leave your socket in a constant state of ever so slightly warm. No way I'd ever do it.
