Good luck and be safe!
Going up hills, I have found that drafting in back of semis works great!
Have fun! Isn't that what it all is about!?!?! _________________ Jimbo

Kevin, you're going to be fine, really
Ok, that's a bad joke and picture. My bet is your trip with be 100% issue free. Robbie looked her over and wouldn't let you go if he didn't feel it would be drama free.

I can certainly see it being a valid concern for aviation - the temperature swings an aviation tire sees from ground to flight and back are extreme. _________________ 1965 Volkswagen 1500 Variant S

Also used in race cars... Don't know what it costs but if cheap enough might give it a go. |

I've found a good market niche selling 80% pure nitrogen at half the price of 100%... People like that value point. So do I. _________________ .ssS! |

We spent some time this morning on Avenue of the Giants and most of it looked like this. Not shown are some magnificent Redwoods. I love the smell of Redwoods.
Made it to some small town for gas and saw this big buddy.
Most of coastal Nor-Cal was covered with a beautiful Marine layer until we hit Crescent City, just South of the Oregon border.
Crescent City;
Then into Oregon
Not sure how this happens
And the coast.
The bug has been a blast and Xatie just loves it. We took an extra day and stayed on the coast tonight. Just having too much fun together. _________________ Keep on Busin'

Great pics! Glad the trip appears to be trouble free. I love seeing these Bugs out on road trips. _________________ Contact me at [email protected]

Looks like all is going good. Love that drive along the coast. When younger, me and the wife took PCH from San Clemente to just past San Fransico. 16 hour drive, mainly due to stopping to relish the splender of the ocean views! Those rocks in the water remind me of a spot near Big Sir where we ate our lunch, out on some rocks! Thanks for the memories!
You are making me want to take a cruise up the coast once again. There is nothing else like it!
Glad all is going well and you are taking time to smell the roses. Life is about stopping to smell them, and enjoying it with someone!
Wishing you all the best. Enjoy! _________________ Jimbo

Today the Oregon coast traffic is ridiculously light. Thank god. If the Marine Layer blows off early like it did today. The Coast will be the best place to see The Eclipse.
More Oregon Coast.
Some cute lighthouse in the trees
We are suckers for farmers markets. Picked up some amazing fresh local lobster, chanterelles, oyster, shiitake, trumpet, and morel mushrooms. Seriously if you like mushrooms, you'd trip balls on the selection

So, last leg of the trip before home.
From the coast at Lincoln city we headed inland to PDX.
We usually go to PNW Mogfest every year. But we were on a mission to get the Bug home. But we did make a stop to say hi to the Mogfest crew.
Not them. These guys.
We always take a bus. If you have no idea what PNW Mogfest is. It's a weekend of craziness in only European off-road capable cars. Check out these pictures.
https://www.flickr.com/groups/nwmf/pool/
If you look close someone put a 747 on roof and made a waterslide park.
And finally home. It was a great road trip. I love how much Xatie loves this little bugger. Sure is fun to drive
