Show us the worst attempts at car modifications you come across.

I'll start with this fabulous hairnet headlight tint.

About 15 years ago it was fashionable if you were a teen to take your ricer car and put really small but very wide tires on it. Until it became obvious that doing so not only looked asinine but it ruined wheel bearings very quickly. This trend only lasted a year or so before even the most drug addled mouth breathers caught on to what was happening.

Yes, only now the trend has progressed to "poke" & "stretch" where the fit the widest wheels they can with the narrowest tires possible, usually with 15+ degrees of negative camber so it'll still under the wheel arches.

The same car had a set of tires on it that the "rimguard" rubber strip on the sidewall of tire didn't even reach the inner sealing surface of the rim.

Excessively lowered, makes the vehicle look constipated with no relief in sight.

Also anything that looks carbon fiber.

I'm partial to those on '60s Camaros and Mustangs.

I even like the ridiculous ones on the Mopar Superbird and Daytona, but they're styled as true race cars, so maybe they're exempt.

But those on small Japanese cars raced on the street... UGH! Did daddy not buy them an Erector Set when they were a kid?

Since I have yet to "see it all", I will contribute any mods made involving duct tape or green garden hose.

Anything half way to glory. If you're going to do it, do it big.

Gonna lower it an inch? Don't bother.

Are there any mods you do approve of? Bound to be a shorter list, eh?

Although I'm with you on Boyd Coddington.

I drove a 2015 Jaguar F-type last week. The spoiler lifts at 60MPH or so. It was definitely street legal, though my eventual top speed may not have been.

Nice car. But it would be unbelievably frustrating to drive daily.
