I'm looking for photo examples of bajas that still retain half of there deck lids. I have a project that I may take this route.

Here's the deck of my baja.
One thing to consider is how to mark the deck for cutting.
If you just measure from the top down it will look like a arc or semi circle cut.
I Put the deck lid on the car and using the rear cage, and a level marked for the cut even with the ground. Mark it up with some tape and you will see.

Do you have a problem with it flapping and did you reinforce the cut edge any way?

What I did was to cut the lid 3/4" longer than needed. Using a rounder over steel bar as a "anvil" I hammered a lip on the lower edge. I did have to make a few slices on the curve parts. Take you time.

As far as flapping goes right now I am using a spring to keep it shut.
One of these days I will come up with some under hood latch

If you need more info just ask

Any photos of the rounded edge? I left mine about as long as yours however mine was very twisted when I started and this may just be my experiment unit.

I like the looks of it, about as much as I like the normal baja style rear cover.
