Mcmaster Carr is a good source. I wish I had a list for you but I don't.
They have minimus as well but very fast shipping, usually next day. _________________ 82 Vanagon Westy - AAZ 1.9 TD, HE200 Holset, WAIC, 27.75 dia tires, Electric power steering, 5-speed AAP w/.078 5th

Iforget the size you need but go to arp's site and you can get single size bolt kits. You will probablyhave to order a couple kits but it gives you spares and arp fastners are top notch. I had to do this for my bell housing adapter on my 1980 transmission. _________________ Joining now is our new 1982 diesel. This is an ongoing project under construction. |

i don't think there's m12 x 1.5 in there, m10 x 1.5 yes
my local ace hardware has them. _________________ lucy our westy

I'll give you a dollar if you can find the bellhousing bolts to engine on ETKA for the Vanagon. I looked for an hour, it's nowhere |

Illustration 5-10 is supposed to have the fastener list but it is incomplete, having only a few, at the very bottom.
Then Illustration 134-10 has the 2 long bolts that also hold the starter.
Why the supposed list on 5-10 never got fixed, that is my question.

This weekend, I found some European ekta site that has some m12 and m10 bolts listed without length at the bottom of the belhousing parts breakdown they are not called out on the drawing so I assume they were probably the bolts.
I took the list provided in the other thread and called two local vw parts counters. Both said they knew from experience that the parts would t be available to them and declined to even look the numbers up.
I would use that list but it's impossible to find a 122mm m12 bolt. I a 120mm will work.

I've repurposed the single-use TTY head bolts for the 12mm bolts although they are a tiny bit shorter than the stock starter bolts. I've also repurposed the main bearing bolts for the 10mm ones. Those are an excellent match. |
