I removed the cot and filled the holes when I painted the 73 Westfalia. Now I'd like to reinstall it. Owners manual shows one side and another publication shows later models installed it on the other. What side makes the most sense in your opinion and why? Easiest access? Bang your head? Thanks. _________________ "Always waiting for tomorrow ruined everything"

The 73 is an oddball, the cot is on the left, likely to allow standing at the sink and getting in the door without bashing your head, not quite so easy for a little one to climb up into though. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

Thanks BusDaddy- I just tried to dry fit the one that came with the bus and it's too short. Seems 73 was an oddball year! Anybody want to trade a 73 cot for a 68 to 72 upper cot? _________________ "Always waiting for tomorrow ruined everything"
