I'm restoring a 1967 bus and would like some ideas on how to mount the front license plate. Specifically what kind of clamps are best to use. I appreciate your help and I have done a lot of searching before posting this. The stock bus bumper isn't shown.

I made one for my 58 15 window because I didn't want to drill holes in the bumper.
It is a piece of 3/4" flat stock that I twisted in a vice and I drilled a couple of holes in.
Here is the mount and as you can see, I bent the plate slightly to make it fit.
I didn't want it to hang too low, but I guess an extra inch wouldn't have hurt.
You can see it in this photo just below the bumper.
And here is the plate in place.

Hmm mandatory here in NL to have it..
Put a white rubber trim around the sharp edges...

You can also screw it directly into the bumper tube.
Normally I use the rubber coated clamps around the tube, though. |
