Sportavia used to build small airplanes, some of them had Limbach engines. Most of these engines are beetle based aircooled airplane engines.

you definitely have a Limbach Motoren engine

you have a Limbach SL 17xx (e or ea)

I read somewhere that some of these off use engines (like airplane) or industrial were used for vintage speed? Not sure if they used like the heads or parts to make car engines go faster? any truth to that? Tim
